The board policy committee, represented at the meeting by Trustee Christy Stadelli, said Superintendent Stephanie Hensley presented draft policy 41.50, “exclusive use designated facilities,” which would require students to use restrooms, locker rooms and similar spaces that align with their sex at birth. Stadelli said no action was taken and the draft will return for further legal clarification and a future policy meeting. Stadelli told the board, “We didn't. We were mandated by the state legislature to come up with policies conforming with state law.”
