School board approves switch from BoardDocs to Diligent for 2025–26

The Citrus County School Board voted to purchase Diligent community (the BoardDocs replacement) for the 2025–26 school year, approving a migration staff said will add features such as single-sign-on, auto-save for agenda requests, one-click printing, SMS alerts, improved livestream encoding and automatic live captions.
District staff and board members framed the move as mandatory: presenters said BoardDocs is being sunsetted and Diligent is the vendor's upgraded platform. Miss Andreska (district staff) said the district could get a waived migration fee by moving now and that the district would receive training and summer implementation support. "We're gonna get it on the wave and they're gonna waive the migration fee," she said.
Why it matters: the vendor's integrated committee manager and document-tracking features are intended to reduce emailed document versions and simplify version control. Staff highlighted committee-document versioning, the ability to time-stamp recorded minutes to match the agenda, and improved livestream reliability as benefits for board workflow and public access.
Board action: School Board member Paul Frank moved to approve the purchase; School Board member Matthew Faraday seconded. The motion passed on a voice vote.
Implementation: staff said administrators and board support staff will receive training over the summer so the district can use the platform for agendas, committee collaboration and livestreamed meetings with captioning. Staff also noted the product is targeted to school boards and includes document-archiving and committee-management features that may support policy and code-of-conduct updates.
