District details summer capital work: door systems, elevator cab, restroom projects out to bid

The Lynnbrook Union Free School District presented an update on planned capital projects scheduled for summer work, including secured access upgrades, elevator work and restroom renovations.
The district reported that door projects at West End and Marion Street are on track for summer construction and that preliminary wiring work for electronic wireless locks has begun. An elevator cab replacement at Lynnbrook High School is scheduled to start this summer. The State Education Department (SED) approved restroom projects for the high school and the Atlantic Avenue building earlier in the month; those projects were out to bid with an expected May bid opening. The district also plans repointing work at Marion Street; that project has been approved and is out to bid as well.
