Council approves consent agenda with several items pulled; postpones Eagle Fund Days logo decision

The council approved the bulk consent agenda but removed three items for separate consideration: N, R and V.

Item N: a planning question about fence material in the Cabela Estates (Capella) common-area landscaping drew discussion. A resident and planning staff explained that two southern fence sections had been requested as solid fencing by an adjacent property owner; the applicant said the remainder of the neighborhood uses vinyl fencing and requested consistency. After council discussion and an explanation that the southern property owner had requested privacy and sound mitigation at the main entrance, the council approved item N with the requested vinyl fences in the two southern areas (the applicant had agreed to a higher-quality vinyl or comparable composite material).

Item R: staff asked that the item be tabled because the city has not yet received required signed and notarized documents from citizens; the council voted to remove item R from the consent agenda and return it to staff for re‑scheduling when signatures are received.

Item V: council discussed a proposed standardized Eagle Fund Days logo intended to be used year after year. Council members asked for additional design alternatives, clarification of professional design costs and options that better reflect local assets (for example, incorporating the river or foothills). Staff said prior years used annual theme logos and the new logo aims to standardize branding; staff also explained tie-dye mockups were to show potential community activities. The council directed staff to return with more logo options, cost details and color variations at the next meeting so the item can be finalized before event printing deadlines.
