Scotts Bluff County commissioners approved a request Monday to add Oasis Nightclub as a new Keno satellite location in Scottsbluff.

Ryan Keller, speaking to the board, said Oasis has operated for several years and runs poker nights and other events. He described the location as a candidate to broaden access to Keno customers in the city’s core. Sheriff’s office staff indicated no licensing violations were known and the applicant has an existing liquor license through the city.

The nut graf: the county’s sign‑off is an initial administrative step; the applicant must complete fingerprinting, background checks and state licensing, and the state will authorize equipment installation once all approvals are in place.

County staff noted procedural steps remaining: application signature, sheriff’s background review and a state‑level process that includes identification cards for permitted employees. The applicant and county staff said they expect to complete state paperwork and begin equipment installation within roughly 30 days, barring administrative delays.

The board voted 5–0 to approve the initial application form and to allow the county to proceed with submission to state regulators.
