Students and staff from across the Interboro School District presented a student report at the April 24 meeting highlighting recent assemblies, awareness weeks, fundraisers and athletic accomplishments.
Highlights included autism-awareness activities the week of April 7—11 with themed days and a schoolwide laser show celebrating PBIS awards; a district band festival that included two students from the district; a successful bingo and fundraising event; Read Across America activities including themed spirit days; and a spirit-driven recognition of disability awareness.
Athletics achievements noted included Kylie Arnott winning a BIAA diving gold medal and being named an All-American diver; the girls softball team leading its league; the baseball and girls lacrosse teams posting notable wins; track and field participation exceeding 80 students with at least one district qualifier; and announcements of signing days for graduating athletes. The report also noted partnerships and career-pathway visits that exposed students to hospitality, logistics and welding programs.
