Parker Johnson, chief of government and physical management (city staff), told the council that representatives of Civitas Permian Operating LLC could not attend the meeting to present a proposed production-sharing agreement (PSA) submitted by Bison Energy LLC for drilling wells in Sections 15 and 16, Block 5, H & G Railroad Company Survey, Reeves County.
Johnson said staff recommended postponing the item so the company could meet with staff for a fuller briefing. Councilman Arona moved and a council member seconded to postpone the item to the second meeting in May to allow a company representative and staff to meet and present more information; the motion carried.
Ending: The proposed PSA will return to the council after Civitas Permian or its representative meets with staff and council members; no final action was taken at the April 24 meeting.
