"This new agreement...is to attack a few other items that kind of just expand on what our current, strategic plan is and helping implement some of those goals," Leno said.
Councilwoman Trujillo moved and Councilman Graham seconded the motion to approve the renewal. The council voted in favor and the motion carried; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally.
Council members praised staff progress and said they had observed growth in city staff following the training series. Leno said he and Gonzales expect the work to be limited to about one more year, after which the city should be self-sufficient.
