Granite Falls FCCLA students qualify for national conference; chapter outlines fundraising plan

Stephanie Finto, advisor to Granite Falls High School’s FCCLA chapter, presented a project and fundraising plan to the board for students who qualified for the FCCLA National Conference.
Finto showed the board a recycled‑materials redesign project the chapter will take to nationals and said the estimated total trip cost is $4,978.37. She reported per‑person lodging estimates and travel plans, and described fundraisers the chapter will run, including track‑meet concessions, dinners with the Eagles auxiliary, sales of key chains and baked dinners, and planned online donation options to be shared when available.
Finto said community donors have already contributed: the Eagles auxiliary committed a $1,500 sponsorship, and EcoCAR (closing its program) agreed to split remaining funds between FBLA and FCCLA, providing $2,191.78 to each. Finto said the chapter expects to cover the remaining costs and hopes to have a surplus after the trip.
Board members thanked the chapter and volunteers, and a board member asked about a QR code for donations; Finto said one will be provided. No formal board action was required for the presentation.
