Council hears update on comprehensive plan outreach; administration posts plan materials online

Eve Breedlove, identified in the meeting as a city planning contact, said: "londonohio.gov and then right on the home page, there's a comprehensive plan button, as big as I can make it." Breedlove said the city’s comprehensive plan web page includes meeting updates, PowerPoint materials distributed at public meetings, results from a community survey of roughly 200 responses, stakeholder and steering committee lists, past engagement opportunities and instructions on how the public can provide feedback. Council members raised scheduling and attendance: a council member noted turnout at a recent open house was lower than hoped but said the meeting produced useful information. The council confirmed a special finance meeting before the May 1 council meeting and noted the next regular council meeting is scheduled for May 19 (start time noted in the meeting as 5:30 p.m.).
Breedlove and the clerk confirmed the administration will continue to collect feedback and return revised materials to council at subsequent meetings. No formal actions were taken on the comprehensive plan at this meeting; council members encouraged public review of the posted materials and to submit comments through the provided contact channels.
