The Jim Wells County commissioners approved a series of routine agenda items by voice vote.
The court approved minutes from the previous meeting after a motion and second. The county treasurer’s monthly report and other monthly reports were approved; the treasurer reported that year-to-date sales tax collections through March equaled $841,002.92 and that collections were in line with budget expectations. The auditors’ monthly report, which compared revenues and expenditures against budgeted amounts, was presented and approved; the auditor reported overall revenues at 72% in the general fund (reflecting first-quarter property tax collections) and total expenditures at 26% of budgeted amounts. The payroll and bills as submitted by the county auditor were approved with noted exceptions identified in the agenda.
The court also took the customary motion to adjourn at the end of the meeting.
