Annual Trash Bash draws more than 350 registered volunteers, speakers say

“So today, we're participating in our annual trash bash. This is an event that we do every year, typically in March or April, just depending on on the weather. And actually, we have over 350 volunteers that registered for this event. Every year, it gets a little bit bigger. We get more volunteers,” Speaker 1 said.
“Well, it makes me proud to see everyone here, especially the little ones that are participating in today's trash bash. Again, it's so important that that the community comes together today, and every day, you know, to pick up the trash and make our city beautiful and just be proud of our city,” Speaker 2 said, citing youth participation as a key part of the effort.
“It is about taking pride in our city. It's more than, picking up trash. It's about showing support, showing pride, showing pride in our neighborhoods, in our streets, in our parks. At the end of this event, you'll see how much we actually do pick up in trash. It takes all of us coming together to keep our city beautiful,” Speaker 3 added.
Speaker 1 closed remarks by thanking volunteers: “We wanna thank everybody that took the time out of their Saturday to come out and do this. It's for a great cause. It's a great learning experience, especially for the younger generation, and we appreciate everybody taking pride in their community and going out to clean.”
