The clerk read totals as presented in the bid packet; one bid package included a one-time cost of $72,058.60, another listed $5,782 and J and L Global produced higher-option pricing including an option totaling roughly $154,785 and an alternative option with a $54,000 installation plus $3,742.50 per month. County staff said the packet would be turned over to the review committee because bids appeared to vary in scope.
Commissioners discussed committee membership and whether retired personnel should be replaced on the panel; they concluded the existing review committee should proceed with the evaluation and may consult staff or technical advisors as needed. A motion to accept the bids and refer them to the review committee, with the committee authorized to seek advice, passed by voice vote.
