Commissioners make multiple routine board appointments by acclamation

Craven County Commissioners on Feb. 17 confirmed a series of routine appointments to advisory boards and committees.
The board reappointed Bill Bud Stilley to the Craven County Board of Adjustment and appointed Carlos Kalazewski to the Recreation Advisory Board to fill a vacancy left by Cortesha George. Larry Maris was reappointed as the Community Hospital representative on the Local Emergency Planning Committee and Carrie Hanford was appointed to fill a separate vacancy on the committee. Brian Ipock was nominated and appointed to the Board of Equalization and Review to fill a vacancy left by Rodney Russell.
Most appointments were made by acclamation following nominations from commissioners. The county manager noted additional upcoming vacancies on boards including the Fireman's Relief Board of Trustees and the Fire Tax Commissioners Board and asked commissioners to review those pending appointments.
No votes against or abstentions were recorded for the appointments presented at the meeting.
