"We missed last week's meeting, due to some technical issues with Zoom," Dustin said. He reported the primary change since the committee last met was that the kit-homes bill was no longer active and reminded members the regular legislative session was nearing its end and a special session could be called.
The update prompted members to discuss continued outreach and monitoring. One member suggested contacting sponsors of bills that had high impact for the council so the council could inform them about the council's processes and identify changes that would better align proposals with code procedures. The committee chair and members agreed to keep meeting on Thursdays at 2 p.m. and to schedule committee meetings once every two months during the off-session period; if a special session is called, those regular meeting times would continue as needed.
