A commissioner moved to approve and authorize the chairman to sign the 2025–26 restaurant liquor license for Bighorn Merc Pizza LLC doing business as Bighorn Mercantile, effective June 1, 2025; another commissioner seconded. The board voted in favor and the motion passed.
Airport operator agreement: Robert Hill, Sheridan County airport manager, told the board the county issued a request for proposals for an operator of the airport’s self-service fueling station and received two responses: Bighorn Airways Inc. and Sheridan Pilots 307 LLC. Hill said he selected Sheridan Pilots 307 LLC as the preferred respondent after evaluating marketing plans, pricing, qualifications, responsiveness and supplemental ideas; the recommended agreement is for five years with a five-year option to extend and collects fees through a fuel flowage fee. A commissioner moved to approve and authorize the chairman to sign the specialized aviation service operator use agreement between Sheridan County and Sheridan Pilots 307 LLC; the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve.
Why it matters: The liquor-license approval allows the restaurant to continue alcohol sales for the 2025–26 license year. The airport operator agreement is intended to maintain or expand self-service fueling options at Sheridan County Airport and to introduce competition after the previous operator did not submit a proposal.
