City administrator reports development milestones, airport taxiway work and playground projects

The report noted two residential development projects — Heritage Heights and Corral Crossings — at school sites (Paddock and Lincoln School sites) with demolition of the Lincoln School site underway. Utility bids for those projects were due back the week following the meeting. The airport taxiway project (first of two major projects) was scheduled to begin the next Monday after the meeting.
Staff reported progress on RCRP playground grants: Play Pro Recreation LLC was awarded the Frowberry Park playground contract (reported in consent agenda), and Mark (parks staff) is preparing bids for the new Chautauqua Park playground. The first bid for pickleball improvements had come back higher than anticipated and will be rebid. City staff said the Frowberry Park bid came in slightly under cost estimates.
No council action was required; the report was filed for the record and related projects will return to the council as contracts and bids are finalized.
