The Area Board of Zoning Appeals approved the March 26, 2025 meeting minutes and recorded several administrative items at its April 23 public hearing.
The board accepted a motion to incorporate standard documents into the hearing record, including the Unified Zoning Ordinance, the Unified Subdivision Ordinance, the Comprehensive Plan, and the board’s bylaws. The board then approved the March 26 minutes by voice vote.
APC staff announced that BZA 21‑89 (Paul Whitehurst), a petition for a special exception to allow a boarding kennel, had been withdrawn by the petitioner and would not be heard. Staff further moved to continue BZA 21‑91, BZA 21‑92 and BZA 21‑93 (all listed for MGM Plaza LLC) to the May 28 ABZA public hearing; the board approved the continuance. Staff noted all other cases on the April 23 agenda were ready to proceed and that a class of students from Professor Steinhardt’s class was present and invited to speak with board members after the meeting.
Those administrative actions were recorded in the hearing minutes and announced at the start of the agenda before the cases were called for hearing.
