North Ridgeville City Council voted Monday to adopt several resolutions and ordinances, moving multiple projects closer to implementation and approving a no-cost transfer of vacant parcels.
The most time-sensitive approvals were two grant-related measures. Council adopted Resolution 2025-66 to apply for Lorain County Community Development Block Grant funds for a water-line replacement project in the Orrinson/Knoll and Beam Road neighborhood and added an emergency clause so the application could be filed before the county deadline. Council also adopted Resolution 2025-67 authorizing the mayor to accept an Ohio Department of Transportation grant for the Taylor Parkway resurfacing project and added an emergency clause to permit immediate access to the funds.
Council approved Ordinance 2025-68 (amended) to adjust 2025 appropriations, including funds tied to the Root Road Park Improvement Project, the hiring of a part-time seasonal resident project representative in the Engineering Department, and Safetyville T-shirts.
