Tallmadge introduces new economic developer, Samantha Poole

Tallmadge officials introduced Samantha Poole as the city’s new economic developer during the April 24 council meeting. Poole began the role earlier that week, and staff said she has more than 20 years of experience in business development, client success and strategic communications.
An administrative official (identified in the meeting as Joe) described Poole’s background: she most recently served as senior director of business development for Foundever, a global customer-service company, and previously held leadership roles with InfoCision Management Corporation in Akron. Poole said she has lived in Portage and Summit counties for much of her life and that she has already attended local development meetings, including the Ohio Economic Forum and a development-board meeting where she met area leaders such as Portage Development Board president Brad Earhart.
Poole told council she looks forward to one-on-one meetings with business leaders and to driving economic vitality for Tallmadge. City staff said Poole has already begun meeting with partners and has several follow-ups scheduled; no budgetary or program commitments tied to her hiring were discussed at the meeting.
