The Azusa Unified School District Board of Education reported several personnel and discipline actions taken in closed session during its April 22, 2025 meeting.
The board announced it approved, by a vote of four, a final settlement in an Office of Administrative Hearings matter identified in the report as case 24-25-01-15. The board also reported approving, by a vote of four, a student-discipline case referenced as 24-25-01-13.
The board further reported that it unanimously approved placing employee number 04222501, identified in the open-session report as a bus driver, on compulsory leave pursuant to Education Code section 45304 effective Feb. 5, 2025. The board said it had directed the superintendent or designee to provide all appropriate legal notices and otherwise effectuate the process.
Separately, the board reported it unanimously approved terminating the employment of employee number 04222502 from a teacher position effective immediately.
