The City of Berwyn council approved a package of municipal contracts, appointments and informational items during the April council meeting.
Major formal actions included awarding the 2025 Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) roadway resurfacing contract to Lindahl Brothers Inc. for $2,147,157.50 plus a 5% contingency (funded through the MFT program) and awarding a Program Year 2024 CDBG roadway and sewer replacement project (HUD Activity No. 770771) to Lindahl Brothers Inc. for $832,248.50 (funded through Community Development Block Grant program year 2024 funds). The council also approved a contract with Bode Technologies for advanced DNA testing for $9,792 paid from the Police Department general fund; authorized the police department to seek an RFP for its main rooftop HVAC unit and an RFQ for an asset-locker system; corrected a scrivener’s error to change the underground water storage tank contractor to T Corp Inc.; and approved a $7,500 workers’ compensation settlement as recommended by the city attorney.
