The Jefferson County Health and Human Relations Commission scheduled a longer May 29 meeting to host presentations from Ruth Haven and the Recovery Cafe, the commission said at its April 24 session.
Commission leaders said the two groups’ availability dictated the date. The May 29 meeting will include extended time for both guests, and members were advised to plan snacks and extra time.
LifeSpring requested a nondisclosure agreement before presenting, commission members said; staff are finalizing that agreement and, once signed, the commission expects to schedule a LifeSpring presentation, likely in May or shortly thereafter. Separately, the commission continues to follow up with contacts connected to the Chelsea Flatwoods Nature Preserve and will report back when they have updates.
These scheduling items were described as logistical and informational; no formal votes were recorded on program acceptance or funding at the April meeting.
