Stephanie Godworth joined the Jefferson County Health and Human Relations Commission at the April 24 meeting, bringing the commission to nine members, the quorum referenced by the group.
Commission members reviewed current term lengths to maintain staggered turnover. According to the record, Amanda, Jane, Stephanie and Gigi hold one-year terms; Cammy, Tamika, DJ, Dr. Falstic and Lindsay hold two-year terms. The commission said most terms end at the end of the calendar year.
A sitting member announced plans to step down after the May meeting, saying they will continue to help with immediate outreach events through June but expect to reduce their regular participation because of other commitments. The member said a replacement could be recommended at the May meeting so a new member could take a seat in June.
The term review was described as an informational item to guide future appointments and to avoid simultaneous turnover of multiple members.
