- 2025–2029 Consolidated Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing: Council adopted a resolution approving the consolidated plan for 2025–2029 and the related analysis of impediments to fair housing choice, as required by HUD. The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Councilmember David Reddy and seconded by Councilmember Gardner; staff said HUD requested final submissions by June 24.
- Owner-Occupied Home Rehabilitation Program Guidelines: Council approved updated program guidelines and authorized execution of associated agreements for the city’s owner-occupied rehabilitation program. Staff said the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation for FY 2025–26 will fund owner-occupied rehab ($292,981 allocated) and public services at the 15% cap (approximately $51,070).
- Juneteenth flag display (consent calendar item 1F): Council amended a consent calendar item to authorize flying the Juneteenth flag at all city buildings from June 19 through the following Monday (spanning the weekend) rather than for a single day at City Hall. The council carried the amended motion.
- Contract award (Giannaw/Gianotri tree trail wind wall): Council awarded a contract for a wind wall (consultant/contract name per staff report) at the Giannaw/Gianotri Tree Trail area as part of sand/migration mitigation. The city’s principal engineer, Francisco Jaime, said the contractor’s work is expected to take approximately 120 days.
