The White House City Council approved a furnishings-and-fixtures package for City Center at 109 East Main totaling $637,218 that covers 875 items for the new facility, staff said.
City staff and the project architect recommended Intelligent Interiors' proposal, which staff said comes in under earlier budget guidance from the architect team. "This cost is accounted for in the 2022 certificates of obligation for City Center," a staff member said. The architect team (Randall Scott Architects) and Intelligent Interiors worked on selections and pricing, and staff said cooperative purchasing contracts and state/federal contract pricing were used to avoid separate bids on each item.
Council discussed the scope briefly, noting that the package covers furniture for multiple rooms including a banquet/co-working space where tables were selected to allow classroom and banquet setups. One council member said the team had worked to ensure storage and multiuse layouts were accommodated. A council member moved to approve the furnishing and fixtures package; another seconded and council adopted the item by voice vote.
Staff said Intelligent Interiors had worked to contain costs amid supply-chain and tariff concerns and that the packet in the council agenda includes room-by-room furniture mapping. Council authorized the purchase and the items will be procured and installed under the cooperative purchasing agreement referenced in the staff presentation.
