Jefferson County commissioners approve routine purchases, budget transfers, appointments and sheriff grant applications

Jefferson County Commissioners Court approved multiple purchasing contracts, budget transfers, board appointments and sheriff’s office grant applications during its Jan. 1, 2025 session, voting by voice on grouped consent items rather than on individual roll-call tallies.

The court approved specifications and contract actions under the purchasing agenda, including invitations for bid for gray limestone base and automobile rental concessions for Jack Brooks Regional Airport, a job order contract with Preferred Facilities Group USA for Dog and Ford Park concrete polishing ($81,574.98), a 90‑day extension for a gray limestone base contract with Gulf Coast to CRH company (expiring April 12, 2025), an amendment to the county termite‑treatment contract that adds service for the Precinct 2 service center (initial treatment $2,817.75; annual $350; $75 call‑out), and a revised services agreement with Spectrum (monthly $937.95; one‑time equipment/installation $1,500).
