Magistrates said the attachment should let county crews repair small stretches of road as they arise, rather than waiting on outside paving firms for limited repairs. The manufacturer will provide training and on‑site setup when the unit is delivered, Clark said, and the unit is a multipurpose implement also useful for edging, shoulder work and placing rock.
The court voted to authorize the sole‑source purchase and to proceed with delivery and training. No contract number or vendor name was specified in the public remarks beyond the sole‑source explanation.
