Bossier Schools names three new principals: Legacy, Princeton, Rushton/Russian Middle appointments announced

The Bossier Parish School District introduced and recognized three newly appointed principals during the April 17 regular session. Andrea Spinney, Assistant Superintendent for Administration, presented the appointees.
Megan Hembry was named principal at Legacy Elementary. Spinney noted Hembry’s two decades in education, her work as an instructional coach and assistant principal, and five years as Legacy’s assistant principal. Hembry spoke to the board and introduced family members in the audience.
Amber Beach will return to Princeton Elementary as principal; Spinney summarized Beach’s 16-year career, her Louisiana Elementary Teacher of the Year honor in 2017, and recent leadership roles at Kingston Elementary. Beach accepted the appointment and thanked colleagues and family.
Emmett Beggs was appointed principal at Russian Middle (listed in materials as Rushton/Russian Middle). Beggs’ background includes 11 years at Parkway as a teacher and coach, state wrestling titles as a head coach, and prior assistant-principal experience. Beggs thanked family and staff during remarks.
The board formally recognized each appointee; the introductions were presented as recognitions rather than formal votes in the minutes. District officials said the appointments reflect internal leadership development and local principal pipelines.
