City staff reported that the City of Winter Haven’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) audit are “clean, unmodified” and contain no findings or management letter recommendations.
The announcement came during the commission’s agenda review session, when staff said auditors Malden and Jenkins will make a presentation to the commission Monday evening and the commission will be asked to accept the ACFR and the CRA audit.
The staff commentary described the result as “the best we could ever hope to achieve,” and indicated the audits will be presented as part of the consent agenda for formal acceptance at the Monday meeting. No formal vote on the audits was recorded in the agenda review discussion.
The report to commissioners did not include detailed financial figures in the agenda review remarks; staff indicated the full audit presentation will provide the detailed findings and will be available when auditors present.
