Lawrenceburg approves lateral hire Richard Lay for police pending PERF check

Council members moved and approved the recommendation with the contingency that Lay successfully pass PERF clearance before final hire. Officials said applications to the department have increased and that staff used a stringent scoring process to evaluate candidates.
