At the April 23, 2025 Planning Commission meeting, planning staff reported construction work on Columbus Avenue is proceeding on schedule: sidewalks are being poured, tree wells are being filled and curb work is imminent. Staff said the driving surface has received first‑round pavement on the west side but that final paving timing on the east side was not yet determined.
Ms. Blair said the City Hall sidewalk would be poured and that the city building would be closed to the public Thursday, April 24, while staff remained available by phone. She suggested commissioners and residents who want regular construction updates subscribe to project notices from Megan Stuckey, who sends comprehensive updates.
Commission members asked about paving timing; staff said she did not have firm paving dates for the east side section and directed members to the project update mailing list for further detail.
