The Northbrook School District 28 board introduced and swore in two newly elected members after Cook County released canvas results: Diana Horowitz and Eve Vanseltzer. The board also recognized reelected members Beth Bazer and Deshaun Arms.
At the reorganization portion of the meeting, board members recited the oath of office in unison and the chair called roll. The board then nominated and, by acclamation, elected Mara Silver Schack as board president for a two-year term and Adam Weinstock as vice president for a two-year term. Beth Bazer was elected board secretary by acclamation.
The board approved the proposed meeting calendar for the 2025–26 school year by voice vote. Members were reminded that committee assignments are typically reconsidered every two years and that board members will be asked shortly to indicate committee preferences by email.
Outgoing members were thanked during the meeting; the board moved to adjourn at the close of the reorganization business.
