The council voted April 21 to grant a sewer easement to serve a proposed BP gas station development on Highway 9 South, contingent on approval from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) because the proposed line will cross a creek.
Stacy Harris, zoning administrative assistant, summarized the request from MCKREO 60 LLC and said the city attorney reviewed the easement language. Harris told council that EPD must approve the creek crossing before the city can finalize the easement.
Council took a motion to approve the easement "contingent upon approval from EPD." The motion carried and staff was directed to complete the easement documents once EPD approval is obtained.
Staff noted the city attorney had reviewed the draft and that final execution will be subject to EPD permitting and any required conditions identified by that review.
