The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors approved its consent agenda and a set of administrative motions on April 22, 2025, including claims and payments, personnel actions, travel authorizations, equipment purchases and setting dates for public hearings.
Key approvals and administrative actions recorded on the consent calendar or by separate motion included: a claims-and-payments resolution authorizing $186,791.38 in disbursements; appointment of Joseph Gileman as zoning administrator effective April 22, 2025; authorization for the county auditor to destroy specified older records; approval of COBRA rates effective July 1, 2025; receipt and publication direction for the 2024 county wage listing; approval to fill a full-time elections technician position (estimated start date June 1, 2025); travel approvals for county staff to attend ESRI and Iowa Public Employment Labor Relations Association conferences; approval to purchase a Ricoh IM Z4510 copier for the human resources office ($6,530); and authorization to advertise multiple rezoning requests with hearings scheduled for the May 6 board meeting.
