McCullough told the commission he plans to add a three-car garage with a small studio apartment above it for occasional visitors, not as a primary residence: "I'm looking to put in a, probably, about a 3 car garage with a small apartment on top of it ... that nobody would be actually living in. But if we had visitors ... they'd have a place to stay that wouldn't be within my house at the time," McCullough said. He said the property consists of "5 plus or minus acres."
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved a recommendation in favor of the conditional use. The commission’s recommendation will be transmitted to the Board of Commissioners for a final decision; staff noted that the Board of Commissioners will consider the item at its meeting on May 6.
No members of the public registered formal objections during the hearing recorded in the transcript. The commission's recommendation does not itself change the lot's zoning; it only forwards the conditional-use recommendation to the county commissioners.
