Staff reported the owners acquired property in the CRA and plan to relocate and expand operations; staff estimated total renovation costs at $975,000 and said the owners have invested more than $600,000 to date. Eligible improvements listed by staff included parking-lot resurfacing, fencing, signage, and roof repair. Staff recommended awarding the maximum $200,000 under program guidelines.
Board members and staff praised the applicants’ investment and community ties. The public hearing opened and closed with no outside speakers recorded. A motion to approve the grant was made and seconded; the board approved the award 5-0. The applicant said the planned opening would be June 22.
The board did not record additional conditional requirements at the meeting; staff will prepare standard grant documentation for execution.
