The county attorney and commissioners discussed the effect of the change on a typical homeowner. A board member noted the increase would amount to about $1.30 on a $150,000 home, homestead-prepped. With no public objections, Commissioner Adams moved to approve the request; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Collier and carried by voice vote, 3-0.
