City staff presented an updated strategic plan to the Sierra Vista City Council at a working session, saying council members were prepared to move forward with formal adoption.
Miss Harriman, speaking to Mayor McCall and members of the council, said, “after our discussion at the last work session, it sounded like council was ready to move forward with adoption on the strategic plan.” The presentation described the document as the city’s 10th strategic plan since February 2007 and said it establishes 22 priorities for staff.
The staff presentation listed several edits made since the last draft. One change revised the wording of initiative 14.3 from “enhance and maintain” to “maintain and enhance” at the request of Mister Jones. At the Mayor Pro Tem’s request, staff moved initiative 16.2 under priority 16 to create a phased plan for implementing the Fire and Medical Services Department assessment. Staff said those were the only substantive edits since the prior work session.
Miss Harriman invited questions and indicated readiness to answer them; no formal adoption vote or motion appears in the transcript of the working session. The council scheduled additional meeting time later in the week for other agenda items.
The matter will return to a future meeting for formal action, according to staff comments in the presentation.
