Staff announces new City Hall hours, ambulance service start and Main Street work updates

City staff and officials reported several operational updates at the Troy City Council meeting on April 21.
City Hall hours: Mister Titterington, Director of Public Service and Safety, announced City Hall hours will change starting June 2. The building will be open Monday–Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. until noon. Titterington said the change does not affect access for properly advertised public meetings and that the city will publicize the new hours via social media, website notices and signage.
Ambulance and EMS service: Titterington also reported that council previously accepted a donation from the UVMC Foundation of a new ambulance and authorized a contract to serve primary EMS at the EVMC campus. The ambulance has arrived and staff expect to place it into service May 1, pending arrival of a few pieces of equipment. “We have started serving the campus through 9‑1‑1, but that ambulance will be going into service on May 1,” Titterington said.
Main Street work: Mayor Ora (referenced in council comments) and other members noted that grinding on Main Street is underway and expressed hope the work will be finished soon to allow West Main Street to reopen.
Ending: These operational items were informational; council did not take votes on them at the April 21 meeting.
