The Silver Creek School Corporation board unanimously approved a revised consent agenda on April 22 that included multiple personnel appointments, resignations, leaves and a set of proposed math textbook adoptions for Silver Creek High School.
Board members voted 4-0 to accept the revisions and then to approve the full consent agenda. Additions to personnel included a certified appointment: Veil Losey as summer‑school administrator at Silver Creek High School, a year‑to‑year position effective June 10, 2025. The board also added a retirement entry for Stacy Back, an elementary teacher at Silver Creek Elementary, effective June 1, 2025.
Classified appointments added to the consent agenda included Darren Elmore (operations labor, Silver Creek High School), Richard Howe (bus driver, Silver Creek School Corporation, effective April 23, 2025), Serena Tisnato (operations labor, Silver Creek High School, effective May 5, 2025) and Zachary Snelling (custodial manager, Silver Creek High School, effective date to be determined). Resignations added included Jesse Whitlock, sixth-grade boys basketball coach at Silver Creek Middle School, effective April 22, 2025. The board also added two leave entries (Regina Byers and Cheryl Grulick) and approved rescinding Shelly Daywood’s resignation.
Under “other requests for approval,” the board added a math textbook adoption package for Silver Creek High School, which listed materials from Savvas (grades K–8), McGraw Hill (Reveal for grades 9–12 and high-school offerings in algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus) and related high‑school resources. Specific titles were presented in the packet; the motion adds the adoption items to the consent agenda for final approval.
Board members asked no substantive questions on the consent agenda additions before voting. The motion to approve the revised agenda and the consent agenda passed 4-0.
