A motion to abandon Skating Rink Road and authorize the chairman to sign a resolution carried; the board then approved the required Local Road Activity (LRA) form for the abandonment. A motion to accept a proposal from GRP Wegman for county solar upgrades was approved; the county cited an upfront project cost of about $1,100,000 with an expected cash rebate of roughly $340,000 and a stated net project cost of $791,107. The board approved an annexation request for property at 52 Foxtail Circle received from the city of Takoa and said it would send a concurrence letter to the city. Commissioners accepted a Cigna health insurance renewal package showing an 8.9% increase and several plan changes (lower urgent‑care copay, wellness funding and expanded dental coverage) and authorized county signatories to execute paperwork.
The board also approved payment of invoices and quotes over $10,000 as listed by staff (examples given in the packet included a gasoline invoice of $13,955.12 and mower purchases of $44,198) and approved several sheriff’s office vehicle purchases and upfits identified in the meeting packet. The board approved minutes and the meeting agenda earlier in the session.
