Sanitation staff requested and the board approved the purchase of an 8-inch control valve for the Drassy Creek Lift Station to restore normal pump operation.
Randy (appearing in the transcript as both “Randy Weathers” and “Ray’s Weathers”) presented the request, describing the lift station (near Horsville Road close to U.S. 31) and saying the valve “opens and closes the system” so pumps can operate through the system. He said the existing valve is nonfunctional and “easily replaced.”
A motion to approve the purchase as presented was made and approved by voice vote; staff were instructed to make the approval subject to legal review where necessary. The presenter confirmed no contract had been signed prior to board action.
