Richland County commissioners approve routine motions, enter executive session; return with no action

Early on the agenda the board moved to certify the record of proceedings for April 17, 2025; the roll-call record shows commissioners voting “yes.” The board then approved requisitions. Later the board approved an authorization to offer a candidate a clerical position at the child-support office; the authorization was explicitly described as the authorization to make an offer pending completion of routine hiring steps and that formal approval would return to the board at a later date. Commissioners recorded unanimous “yes” votes for these items.
The board accepted the resignation of a Dayspring employee, Madison Carter, effective April 18, 2025; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
