Council proclaims Correctional Officers Week and Municipal Clerks Week

At the April 23 meeting the Glendora City Council issued two proclamations recognizing public-service professions.
Council Member Shawn Elias presented a proclamation declaring May 4'10, 2025, as Correctional Officers Week in Glendora and presented the document to Jailer Fallon Atkins, who accepted the recognition on behalf of Glendora jail staff. The proclamation noted that 1,377 prisoners were booked in 2024, an average of over 100 bookings per month, and thanked officers and jail staff for their service.
The council also proclaimed May 4'10, 2025, as Professional Municipal Clerks Week and presented the proclamation to Deputy City Clerk and Records Manager Roxanne Presida. City Clerk Kathleen Sussman, MMC, was acknowledged in the proclamation text and the city clerks team spoke briefly to thank the council for the recognition.
