The Homewood Finance Committee on April 20 authorized the city manager to sign an amendment to the Tyler Enterprise Permitting and Licensing (EPL) contract to add an online payment portal.
Committee members voted to allow staff to execute the contract amendment; committee members said the amendment does not require new budget authority because funds will come from existing contractual services. The committee recorded the motion and approved it by voice vote.
City staff told the committee the vendor supplied a price for the payment portal that had not been included in the original contract. The staff member presenting asked only for authority to sign the contract so the city can move forward; staff said they will budget the cost from contractual services when appropriate.
The committee did not request additional appropriation at this meeting. No public comments were recorded on the item.
