A city staff member (introduced to the committee as Mr. Fricker) explained the contract follows an RFP process and will cover production support and implementation as the city expands CityWorks use across divisions. “We actually put this support contract out for RFP this year, and, decided to go with this company called Woolpert,” staff said, adding the total contract is approximately $100,000 over three years. Another staff member clarified the amount represents roughly $31,000–$35,000 per year with modest escalation over the three‑year term.
Staff described recent and planned CityWorks expansions: e‑plan review for permits, fiber‑network asset management by the communications division, housing mobile inspections and rental‑registry functions, and potential fleet integration. Staff said dashboards for 311 metrics will be made available to council to allow ward‑level and citywide analytics of work orders and response times.
The committee placed the contract authorization on the consent agenda for final council action.
