Administration recommended negotiating a lease with termination language so the county could require DMA to vacate if needed.
Committee members asked about 24/7 access, security and whether the antenna raised FAA compliance concerns. Staff said access can be tailored (work day or 24/7 badges) and that they would confirm FAA and airport-related antenna restrictions before finalizing terms. The motion to authorize administration to continue negotiations passed unanimously by voice vote.
Staff will return with a draft lease for committee review once negotiations and technical checks (FAA, IT and antenna requirements) are complete.
