Wagoner County commissioners approved on April 20 a $3,585 quote from Brett's Mobile Welding and Construction LLC to install permanently attached security bars on four windows in the investigators’ offices located in the North Annex.
Mark Sechrist, undersheriff with the county sheriff’s office, explained the scope was narrowed to the four windows that house investigative equipment and evidence and that the measure was needed to protect that material. He told the board the county solicited multiple estimates but only received one response.
Motion: approve Brett's Mobile Welding and Construction LLC quote for $3,585 to secure four windows in the investigators’ office. Motion moved by Randy; second by Tim. Roll call: Commissioner Henning — Aye; Commissioner Stamps — Aye; Commissioner Kelly — Aye. Outcome: approved. Staff indicated the work would be paid from courthouse renovation or a similar account within the courthouse complex.
The board asked staff to confirm account coding for the payment and asked for proof of the contractor’s invoice before disbursement.
