Eternal Matters host urges opposition to abortion, describes clinic protests and cites fetal-development and health claims

Steve Finley, host of the podcast Eternal Matters, urged listeners to oppose abortion during a roughly hour-long broadcast, called the procedure "murder" and encouraged listeners to protest outside clinics and serve as sidewalk counselors.

Finley said the issue matters because he views abortion as the unjust taking of human life and said public protest can change outcomes. "If you go there and you're part of this action that you call the sidewalk counselor, and babies have been saved, just by that alone," he said.

Finley described his regular public demonstrations at intersections and outside clinics, saying participants hold signs (including graphic images) and call out to people going into clinics. He instructed would-be volunteers that, in his account, protesters must stay 36 feet from a building and 8 feet from patients: "you have to stand 36 feet away…
